Our Story

An Edgy Gastro-Bakery

Inspired by the fine boulangeries of Paris and the funky cafes of Brooklyn, Art Is In Bakery is built to satisfy any craving. We start with real ingredients and sometimes swerve in wildly decadent directions. Our elevated comfort food is dedicated to one thing: making you happy. Every day.

Dense, delicious naturally leavened breads with a delicate tang are the heart and soul of what we do. Beneath the crackly, bronzed crust of our signature baguette lies an explosion of air pockets. Those open holes give it its name: Dynamite.

Kevin Mathieson is a classically trained pastry chef with serious chops in the kitchen. He and his wife Stephanie created this bakery as a place to nourish their shared passion for food, with profound passion, great taste and the soul of a true artist.
